Making Time For Exercise,
By now we all know that we must stay active and make staying active a priority in our lives.
By taking care of ourselves & exercising we:
• Cope better with life’s stresses
• Have a mental state of “well-being”
• Are indeed healthier
• Have a better immune system
• Have preventative medicine to fight off disease like cancer and heart disease
• Sleeping the required ours we need to sleep (6-8 hours avg.)
By all means finding the time to exercise is not an easy thing to do in this fast paced world of ours. Work, the children, the grocery shopping, just to name a few, take up a lot of the waking hours in our day.
We struggle to find the time to workout, but at the same time we can’t afford not to be active.
Here are a few suggestions you may want to try:
• Try and find an efficient workout that you can do almost anywhere. Bodyweight exercises, interval training, jogging, speed walking, are just a few examples that don’t require much preparation
• Find an exercise routine that you like and fits your personality and lifestyle. You’ll actually look forward to your workout.
• Make a schedule for the week. It’s unrealistic to think that you can stick to the same workout time everyday. Make this schedule a priority and stick to it.
• If a hectic life (and yes, not all days work out to be the same routine) it’s better to do something than nothing. We can always find a few minutes to do some stretching or bodyweight exercises.
Remember, you only have one body, treat it right and as always your body and mind will thank you for it. That is all for now, Peace.
