Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, and Good Riddance 2020
Well here it is another holiday season and it’s a lot different than what we’re use to. The celebrations will be limited to immediate family and perhaps a few close friends, depending on the restrictions where you live.
2020 has been one for the record books I would say. As a middle age person I’ve never experienced a year like this and I suppose you could say the same.
In the Spring it all started and what was kinda scary nobody really knew what Covid-19 was. Personally, for about the first two weeks of lockdown I was running on about 4 hours sleep a night. It was this unknown Virus. Running an online business there are countless risks and unknowns but that’s business. This Virus was a totally different scenario.
I happen to love the sciences and am a firm believer in science. Any kind of science and I took what the experts were saying faithfully. So I followed their advice and am fortunate none of my family members were effected.
I don’t think there is anyone on this planet that wasn’t affected in some way by Covid-19. Whether it be job losses. Getting together with friends and yes strangers at the movies, rock concerts etc.
I believe the summer was my turning point and decided to focus my attentions again to what really mattered while at the same time knowing Covid-19 was close by.
I guess we’ll all be happy to say goodbye to 2020 on December 31st although again, the celebrations will be different. By this time next year, 2020 will be history and Covid-19 will still be around but our lives should be as close to normal as it can be.
I look back to 2019 and think of some of the problems we faced and they all seem so trivial compared to the challenges 2020 gave us.
I just know 2021 will be a turning point for a lot of us and the future looks bright.
With that I wish you all a good Christmas with family and all the best for 2021. May it be a hell of a lot better than 2020 was eh
