Do We Really Have to Age so fast?
No matter how advanced medical science is, it’s a foregone conclusion that yes we get older. Every day, every hour every minute, and every second we do get older…but do we really have to age(so fast)?
It’s fact that a minority of people will age sooner than others and it’s unavoidable, it’s genetics. For the majority of us it’s a matter of “choice”.
When so many of us lead a life of inactivity instead of an active lifestyle, it’s now wonder societies with Universal health care are seeing an ever increasing portion of their governments budgets going to health care. Governments can only support this for so long before everything collapses.
Also insurance companies are in this for profit. If you have medical insurance, good luck, you may not have it for long because insurance companies will soon be running at a loss or they will cover much less. They have to see profit just like any other company to function.
I’ve often discussed this with family and friends and have said “The only way folks are going to start taking their health seriously is when there is no more Universal Health Care and they have to shell out a few hundred bucks just to see a doctor”
So now back to the topic “Do we really have to age so fast?” The answer is “No”. There are a number of things you can do to stop feeling like you’re 65 or 70 when in fact you’re only in your 40’s or 50’s.
- Cut down on the junk food
- Get active for 150 minutes a week
- Stop smoking
- Drink alcoholic beverages moderately
- Limit yourself to an hour of unprotected(no sunscreen) sunlight per day
- Meditate
- Find natural ways to bring down that blood pressure( Cardio)
- Find natural ways to regulate your sugar(resistance training)
- Find natural ways to bring down that cholesterol(resistance and cardio training)
- Any kind of active living to decrease the chances of certain types of cancer and the prevention of osteoporosis and arthritis.
The human body was meant to move people. When you don’t, you’re bones weaken, you put on weight, your blood pressure goes up, sugar levels up, and yes, cholesterol up.
When you look at this with an open mind it does seem to be a challenge doesn’t it? Life is a constant challenge so why should this be any different?
Wouldn’t you love to feel 10 or 15 years younger than you are?
Wouldn’t you love to tackle life and all it’s challenges with decreased stress without the aid of “happy pills”
Wouldn’t you love to age gracefully instead of being in a retirement home by the age of 70?
You can avoid the pitfalls of aging with lifestyle changes and exercise but you do have a choice as always
So no matter if you’re 30, 40, 50, 60 etc. years of age it’s your body, you’re only given one, respect it and get older one day at a time without aging prematurely. Peace
