You know what? When I first started on this fitness lifestyle I was confused, and yeah just a tad scared. I was so use to the old way of living. Smoking, drinking to access sometimes, yeah and the occasional illegal drugs.
I was always a pretty active fellah and yeah full of pride. Proud, “who moi?” You betcha. I just thought that if I was going to stay on track I better have fun with it because that’s what life is supposed to be isn’t it?
Major and I mean MAJOR lifestyle changes. What in the hell was I thinking? Did I finally flip out? Lol You’ll do me a great honor if ya didn’t answer that one!!! Lol
At first I did find it kind of boring. Real early to bed and real early to rise. Eating right, exercising as part of my everyday routine. Ok, I was game for anything because I always knew my full potential but I just wasn’t using it.
Only when it was suggested by a relative that I really pursue the new lifestyle and get certified as a “Personal Fitness Trainer” that I did really seem to start enjoying this new lifestyle. Proper ways of eating, exercising without hurting myself, and really seeing change when I looked in the mirror.
When new muscles started to appear where I thought I had none I was truly astonished. Taking up old hobbies that were put on the back burner for some time was just one of the perks. Maybe this new lifestyle wasn’t so boring after all.
I’m constantly challenging myself in different ways and not only in the area of fitness. Some folks think I may have made a deal with the devil because I’ve been told I look quite a lot younger than I did around 3 years ago.
Yeah change can be scary and I’m not talking about the 30 bucks in change you have in your pocket after going shopping for groceries, which I suppose in itself can be a little scary. Ok where was I? Oh yeah, lifestyle changes, which incidentally are a blast for me right now.
I’m in the best shape of my life and wouldn’t change it for the world. There’s that word again in a different context ”change”.
With everything going on in my life right now I’m a real busy fellah and I wouldn’t want it any other way. I do still have a lot of fun in my life and I owe it all to this new lifestyle. I’m still a wild and crazy guy with a crazy if not different sense of humor. My life isn’t perfect but what is? I’m not perfect either, just a whole lot healthier and yeah wiser. (& some would say kind of cute lol). Sorry, I could resist that one.
It would be my great pleasure come sometimes if the Fall of the year, for ya to join up with me. No not a date lol on this fitness journey. I’ll be able to develop a program Taylor made for ya to get back in shape and to stay there and who knows, we may have a bit of fun while doing it.
